Falling for Autumn
Treeside hallways are decorated with vibrant autumn inspired art this time of year!
From Utah Pando, Japanese Kusama-inspired pumpkins, the beautiful birch trees that we see in our mountains, to the celebrating the victory of light over darkness with a Michaelmas parade, and so many more works of art!
Michaelmas is a holiday celebrated in Waldorf schools during the autumn equinox. We remember the legend of St. George conquering the dragon and the victory of light over darkness. Our students learn to find the courage to drive out fear: “I am brave, I am bold, I tell the truth, I have a heart of gold.”
